The building owner had been told the chillers were undersized. They were not. Nobody had ever balanced the distribution, so the floors closest to the AHU were taking more than their share of the air and the top two floors were starved.
We surveyed the duct runs, replaced failed flexible sections, sealed leaking GI joints, then measured airflow at every terminal with calibrated instruments and adjusted dampers floor by floor until each zone was within tolerance of design.
The owner received a full TAB report. Fan speeds were reduced on two AHUs afterwards, which lowered running cost as well.
